Praying for our church, our neighbourhood, and Marion Webb
Marion Webb’s husband, Bob, died this last Wednesday. We hold Marion and her children, Tammy and Nevin in our hearts. Marion, who taught in the local schools for most of her life, and Bob, who farmed in the Honeywood area, have a history deeply woven into the local community, and the land. Bob had suffered from Alzheimer’s for quite a few years and spent the last year and a half at Headwaters Hospital waiting for a place where he couild be adequately cared for.
Marion was a regular visitor to the hospital, patient and kind with Bob. I found them more than once cuddled up on the hospital bed laughing and talking together. Marion’s natural cheerfulness and her devotion to Bob over 58 years of marriage will hold her in good stead. But I am sure she would appreciate notes in the mail and telephone calls. There is a small service on Monday at 2 pm for family only. Here below is one of the readings that will be read at the service and two of the songs that Marion chose for the gathering. They were Bob’s favourites.
Webb, Robert “Bob”

A private family service will be held in the Jack & Thompson Funeral Home chapel. Interment at Shelburne Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 220 would be appreciated.
Please continue to hold Jennifer Shaver in your thoughts and prayers, and all those others who are struggling with particular challenges during this time - seen and unseen.
Our church buildings are closed. Our hearts remain open, tender and embracing.
Now, more than ever, we have to remain present to one another, and to ourselves.
