Shelburne Farmers' Market

The Shelburne Farmer’s Market assembles its venders right outside Trinity United Church on First Avenue West every Thursday from 3 – 7 rain or shine. Local farmers offer up fresh, seasonal produce, local artisans show off their crafts, and bakers temp all passers by with their delicious pies, breads and pasteries. It is a wonderful place to scoop up the best the area has to offer in produce, meet friends, and pick up some locally prepared – and delicious – specialities from the vendors. Each week different local musicians offer their gifts of entertainment. 

“The Shelburne Farmers’ Market strives to be a producer based farmers’ market that assists in developing a stronger local market for our producers, growers and consumers within the area. The market will stress the importance of supporting local businesses, community organizations and local artisans while providing the consumer with the highest quality products that our region has to offer.” 

The Shelburne Farmer’s Market’s motto is: We plant. We grow. We cook – Together. Everything is better together, and gathering with the neighbourhood to support local farmers and artisans, is also a move towards evvironmental sustainability, something we are all interested in supporting. 

Though this being the year of the Cov-id 18 pandemic, sadly, the market was not able to open in the summer, so we will have to wait until the spring of 2021 to wecome it back into the neighbourhood.
