More Restrictions, More Tenderness and Prayer
As you will no doubt know, we head into a red zone designation on Monday. This means that travel and visiting will be even more restricted than it has been. Please, please take care of yourselves, and take no unnecessary chances with your health, and the wellness within your own home.
Advent season is a season of reflection, of slowing down and considering our lives, so this forced inactivity is helping us in a way, to really take the season of waiting seriously.
Please also keep in mind those in the community who are tender this season with the loss of those in their immediate family this year and last. As well, Jim Foster - and Betty - need our attention as Jim was back in hospital this last week. Lucas, Jeff and Sabine Rohner-Tensee’s son, is also ill in the hospital, with the added stress that as of tomorrow, his parents are not allowed to visit him with the new restrictions. If you know of others who need our concern and prayers, please pass this on to Gail, Ann, myself or your care group leaders. Continue to pray for your families, your church, and your community.
Every blessing to you all for this third week in the Advent season,
Candice

Dear Friends,
May we be ready this Christmas to really welcome the Holy One, the radical love and justice that changes everything. Let’s believe in impossible change and join our hands and hearts to the movements around the world that help make it so.

You are welcome to post it on Facebook and Twitter, show it in church and/or share it through your e-lists. From all of us here at KAIROS, Blessed Christmas to you and yours.

December 24, morning, Christmas Eve Service will be posted
Mr. Scrooge is back, but this time, not for large audiences. Here’s an article from the Orangeville Citizen on what Mr. Scrooge is up to this year. See notes from Jeff below.
I am hoping to put on A Christmas Carol this year in people’s homes as a ‘special event’ fund-raiser for Partera from December 1 to December 24. It is first come first served and I am expecting a performance on Christmas Eve may be well sought after. Hopefully! It would all be done in accordance with Public Health guidelines. Lee Ann will be doing all the sound effects and playing Bruce’s recorded music through Bluetooth to speakers. No special lights or visual effects. So it is pared down from the way we have done it before. I am suggesting it be a family event or for social bubbles. People can book this by calling me at 519 378-5704.
